For me I'm more into what I share and how it will show me online. Ile what will paint me as a villain and what will paint me as a friend. Sharing online can be a mixed bag of everything and it is a scary bag. So I want to focus on what I share because I need to be conscious of what is shared online. Deciding on what to share is the hardest thing because if I share something I could get lots of hate or love for it. Like I said it is a mixed bag of everything on the internet. This is the scare of eternity, the consequences of what you share. The whole internet is one big scare in my opinion. If I shared my opinion on racism I could be bashed for sounding racist or I could be praised for defending the race but either way it would be a different outcome.
The purpose is to use our crap detection to find sharing but also learn more about what sharing on social media is like.
The question I feel is what is sharing and what can happen when you share something online.
Hey Caleb, your statement "If I shared my opinion on racism I could be bashed for sounding racist or I could be praised for defending the race but either way it would be a different outcome." has significance in it due to the fact that that is the type of reality we live in now, especially online. Anything you say can be praised, or it can be torn apart.
ReplyDeleteYour statement had relevance when you said, "Deciding on what to share is the hardest thing because if I share something I could get lots of hate or love for it," because you always have to think before you post. Which is why people need to be aware and responsible for what comes next on the things they post.
ReplyDeleteHi Caleb, your statement had fairness when you said "For me I'm more into what I share and how it will show me online." You considered the thoughts and views of others. I am the same way when I share something online.
ReplyDeleteYour statement: " I want to focus on what I share because I need to be conscious of what is shared online"I found it interesting because it reflects your point of view on the information shared in social media.
