. REMIXING CONTENT- BLOG POST 20 POINTS
I understand that "remixing content" is when you take an already existing piece of content and change it. In other words, it's like changing beats to a song to give it your own touch. It could also be when someone takes a picture and adds or removes a certain thing, you changed it aka it's been remixed. Remixing is just like giving your creative twist to the original. It's a cool concept but not new like the article says DJs have been doing it for a while now with the music they make.
This is an image I made for my ICS 203 class and it took the original image of the car on a road and made it pop out while also giving it a filter. I feel like this whole assignment was to get us to see where editing comes to play because remixing is like editing in a way. And the question at heart I feel like is can we follow the idea of remixing and how can we learn to use remixing in media?
Hey Caleb, your statement had logic when you said "Remixing is just like giving your creative twist to the original". It is simple to understand and relate to.
ReplyDeleteYour statement had accuracy when you said, "I feel like this whole assignment was to get us to see where editing comes to play because remixing is like editing in a way," because remixing has been around for a long time like as you quoted, DJs have been doing it for a while with music they remix to put a twist on it.
