Im going to use the Facebook article as an example and I think that it's a great article because they share solutions to the problem of fake news being shown to the public. The article mentions BuzzFeed and Im going to not put bias into this but I don't trust BuzzFeed most of the time. But other than that news is the news and a lot of it can be faked. I've seen a multitude of fake media on social media especially on TikTok where misinformation could be lurking around the corner. SO on the topic of how to fix fake news, they share some possible solutions 2 of which are used verified news outlets that are you and everyone else knows they are credible. Another solution that they mention is using fact-checking sites that can help flag false articles and fake news articles so it's easier to see. Even though these may not be permanent solutions they will help sniff out the false news sources.
The purpose of the assignment is is to give us an idea on how we can seek true information and sniff out the ones that are fake using different methods
The key question at the heart of the assignment is can we find article that provide us as students the nessacary information to help us watch out for false articles?
